Terms of Service

Welcome to UMCStore.org. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the UMCStore.org website (the "Site") and any purchases you make through it. By accessing the Site, creating an account, subscribing to our email list, or placing an order, you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully.

If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use the Site.

1. Who we are

UMCStore.org is operated by United Methodist Communications ("UMCom," "we," "us," or "our"), based in Nashville, Tennessee. References to "you" or "your" mean the person accessing the Site or placing an order.

For questions about these Terms, contact us at  [info@UMCstore.org].

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction, to place an order or create an account. By using the Site, you represent that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is accurate and complete.

3. Your account

If you create an account on UMCStore.org:

  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
  • You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
  • You agree to notify us promptly at  [info@UMCstore.org] if you suspect unauthorized access.
  • We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, are used fraudulently, or are inactive for an extended period.

You may close your account at any time by contacting us.

4. Products and orders

Product descriptions and images

We work to present our products accurately, but colors, textures, and print placement may vary slightly from what you see on screen due to monitor settings, fabric characteristics, and the print-on-demand production process. Minor variations are not considered defects.

Made-to-order fulfillment

All products sold on UMCStore.org are produced on demand by our fulfillment partner after your order is placed. See our [Return and Refund Policy] for details on what this means for returns, exchanges, and cancellations.

Order acceptance

Your order is an offer to purchase. We reserve the right to accept, decline, or cancel any order for any reason, including:

  •  Product unavailability
  • Errors in pricing or product descriptions
  • Suspected fraud or unauthorized use of a payment method
  • Shipping restrictions to your location

If we cancel an order after payment, we will refund the full amount to your original payment method.

Pricing and payment

All prices are listed in U.S. dollars and do not include applicable taxes or shipping charges, which are calculated at checkout. We reserve the right to correct pricing errors and to change prices at any time before you place an order.

You agree to pay all charges associated with your order, including product cost, shipping, and any applicable taxes or duties.

5. Shipping and delivery

Shipping times vary based on product type, production time, and destination. Estimated delivery windows are shown at checkout and are estimates, not guarantees. We are not responsible for delays caused by carriers, customs, weather, or other factors outside our control.

Risk of loss transfers to you once the carrier takes possession of the package. For lost packages, please see our [Return and Refund Policy].

6. Returns and refunds

Returns and refunds are governed by our [Return and Refund Policy], which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. In short: because our products are made to order, we accept returns only for misprinted, damaged, defective, or incorrectly shipped items, reported within 30 days of delivery.

7. Email communications

If you subscribe to our email newsletter, you agree to receive marketing and promotional emails from UMCStore.org. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of any email, or by contacting us at  [info@UMCstore.org].

Regardless of your marketing preferences, we may still send you transactional emails related to your orders (order confirmations, shipping updates, return notifications, etc.).

8. Intellectual property

All content on the Site — including logos, designs, graphics, text, product imagery, and the UMCStore.org name — is owned by United Methodist Communications or its licensors and is protected by U.S. and international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from any content on the Site without our prior written permission, except for the limited purpose of browsing the Site and placing orders for your personal, non-commercial use.

Product designs and artwork sold on UMCStore.org are likewise protected. Purchasing a product grants you ownership of the physical item only, not any rights in the underlying design.

9. Acceptable use

When using the Site, you agree not to:

  • Use the Site in any way that violates applicable law or regulation
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Site, other users' accounts, or our systems
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Site's operation (including by introducing malware, bots, or scrapers)
  • Use the Site to transmit unsolicited communications or advertising
  • Misrepresent your identity or impersonate any person or entity
  • Use the Site for any fraudulent or deceptive purpose

We reserve the right to investigate and take appropriate action, including terminating access, for any violation.

10. Third-party services

UMCStore.org uses third-party services to operate, including Shopify (ecommerce platform) and Printful (fulfillment). When you use the Site or place an order, certain information is shared with these providers as necessary to process your transaction. Their use of your information is governed by their own policies.

The Site may also contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of any third-party site.

11. Disclaimers

THE SITE AND ALL PRODUCTS ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free of viruses or other harmful components.

12. Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, UNITED METHODIST COMMUNICATIONS, ITS AFFILIATES, AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF THE SITE OR ANY PRODUCTS PURCHASED THROUGH IT.

Our total liability for any claim relating to the Site or a product will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid for the product giving rise to the claim, or (b) $100 USD.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, so these limitations may not apply to you.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless United Methodist Communications, its affiliates, and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your violation of these Terms, your misuse of the Site, or your violation of any law or the rights of a third party.

14. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of the Site will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Davidson County, Tennessee, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.

Nothing in this section prevents either party from seeking injunctive or other equitable relief in any court of competent jurisdiction to protect intellectual property rights.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes will be communicated through the Site or by email when reasonable. Your continued use of the Site after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

16. Severability and entire agreement

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect. These Terms, together with our [Return and Refund Policy] and [Privacy Policy], constitute the entire agreement between you and UMCom regarding your use of the Site and supersede any prior agreements.
